Tree of Life

The Celtic Tree of Life symbolizes the Druid belief in the link between heaven and earth,
the cycle of life, and the interconnectedness of all creation. It exists in many religions, mythologies, and cultures such as those of Ancient Egypt, China, and the Mayans. Celtic culture tied a great deal of importance to trees. They provided shelter and warmth for humans, animals, birds, and insects. They also believed trees to be the ancestors of man and his connection to the other world. The modern word ‘door’ is derived from the celtic word ‘daur’, or oak, which was the most sacred of all trees. The Tree of Life is used in a wide variety of mediums, from jewelry to wall art and everything between.
