Studio Donegal is a second-generation family-owned business, in County Donegal, Ireland. The company originally started with a mission: to preserve the tradition of hand weaving, a dying trade after the introduction of machine weaving in the 1960s. “To lose an indigenous craft is to lose a part of our history, our culture, our link to the past.” That being said, the company is passionate and determined to only hand weave in their facility. The company prides themselves on being 100% hand woven, 100% handmade, 100% made in Ireland. These values alone shine true in their productions and set them apart in the weaving business.
