This piece is directly inspired by the Winter Solstice, specifically at Newgrange, and the view through the passage tomb. The light from the rising sun, if visible, lights up the inner chamber of the 5,000-year-old passage tomb, breaking through a narrow slot. The gold bead here can be symbolic of that light breaking through the darkness. The Solstice Drop Earrings with Gold Bead are magnificently made in sterling silver and 18k yellow gold.
