In addition to the Crew Neck Sweater, West End Knitwear designs and manufactures a full range of Irish Aran products. In the Crew Neck Sweater, various Irish Aran stitches included in its construction are believed to bring good luck to the wearer. The honeycomb stitching represents a hard-working honey bee. The Aran basket stitch brings good luck, and the diamond pattern brings wealth to the owner.

Like all West End Knitwear, it was knit in Monasterevan, County Kildare, Ireland. This fine sweater traces its origins to 1856 when Kate O’Shea first created her hand-knitted Aran style woolens.
