King Lir had four children, Fionnuala and three sons, Aodh and twins, Fiachra and Conn. When the Kings wife died, Lir married his sister in law Aoife to care for the children. Jealous of the Children's love for each other and for their father, Aoife tried to kill them, but did not have the courage. Instead, she used her magic to turn the children into swans to spend 900 years on the seas of Erris, Derravaragh and Lough Moyle. The spell was only broken when a Monk took pity on them and blessed them with holy water.
Made in Ireland of solid sterling silver, this bead is compatible with most major brand charm bracelets.
