Description
The Hope for Life Pot Holder is versatile yet so special. The Hope For Life Pot Holder, like all of the other items in the exclusive range, was designed so each of the six vibrant colors has a significance. Pink represents Breast Cancer, light blue for Prostate Cancer, lime green for Lymphoma, lavender for All Cancers, white for Lung Cancer, and Purple to honor Caregivers.
Once the tartan was developed, Donegal Square enlisted its customer base to name the tartan. The name “Hope for Life” was chosen because of our hope that someday cancer research will result in a cure.
These one of a kind tartan items are handcrafted in Scotland of 100% wool. Available items include: hats, caps, ties, scarves, shawls, stoles, waistcoats, and kilts. Twenty percent of the proceeds from the sale of these products will benefit an organization we choose monthly, not limited to but including the American Cancer Society and the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society.
Dimensions: 1″ W x 54″ L
This Hope for Life Ribbon was made to be used as a hand fastening, but you can use it for whatever you would like to! Handfasting was a Celtic custom of temporary marriage, often lasting a year and a day. Couples would hold hands and a cord or ribbon would be tied around them to symbolize their commitment. It was a spiritual and legal union recognized by the community. This is where the phrase “tying the knot” originated.
